“I finally came to this realization: People on Facebook won’t pay for anything. They don’t have credit cards, they don’t want credit cards, and they are not interested in shopping. But you can trick them into doing one of three things:

• Download a toolbar: It could be spyware (such as Zango) or something more legitimate, such as Webfetti or Zwinkys.
• Give up their email address: You’ve won a “free” camera or perhaps you’ve been selected as a tester for a new Macbook Pro (which you get to keep at the end of the test). Just tell us where you want us to ship it.
• Give up their phone number: You took the IQ Quiz, so give us your phone number and we’ll tell you your score. Never mind that you’ll get billed $20 a month or perhaps be tricked into inviting 10 other friends to beat your score.”

Dont call me lazy, Thanks to Jonathan Volk via Twitter (31 mins ago) he recommended I syndicate this blog on feedburner! Feedburner is defiantly a great way to bring more exposure to your blog, and I should of implemented this a while ago doh.

Great idea Jon, as growing a subscription base makes great sense for new affiliate blogs Im glad you actually think my posts are worth reading, as a newer blog in the sea of millions of other make money online blogs  I try to keep it real. Im also an avid reader of yours, thanks for the tip!.

Is it time for real-world afflilates to blog about real things? I think so..Ive read too many blog posts about all these ‘affiliate marketing gurus’ making $xxx,xxx a day with no real world examples etc. I got no problems with you guys balling, but lets see some integrity. Consider this my first rant blog post

I updated my blog title. Monetized Affiliate Marketing -  Burn, Earn & Learn. That about somes up my week .  Another thing I have been saying alot lately – Rome wasn’t built in a day. Its been one of the biggest weeks of my life personally – I couldnt be happier.  Lots of dollars spent on a few life changing things and not to mention house renos & a few ad campaigns. again, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Now If I could just put that  cash spent all into my affiliate business while I still work full-time and get some great sites built with good ROI in a few days would be too easy . I guess its all about balance of life, work & affiliate marketing.

What is media buying & have you tried it?

In its basic form of marketing media buying is buying banner/ad space to promote your affiliate sites on top/popular websites such as cnn.com, espn.com, people.com and other major sites with MAJOR traffic.

If you struggle with PPC using poorly designed & optimized websites & the big G slapping your (fake news blog) and  putting you in the red *and* you have a nice stack of cash to ‘test’  and you want SERIOUS traffic -> you may want to try some media buys. There are some interesting sports flogs shown in this image  on espn

The big time marketers have/make serious cash using MBs., and so should you .  I  recently read a great post from  Colin@feedflare.ca about Media Buys that caught my interest in this affiliate marketing method. Again research & testing is key.  Great post Colin & good luck.

Hey guys, this will be an on-going case study as I indulge in Facebook ads for my campaigns & websites.  Heres my first blog post enjoy!

Facebook Advertising.

If your an affiliate marketer you need to be using Facebook ads.

Social media advertising is all the rage now. If you are not advertising your products/services you promote on Facebook you are loosing money.  Dont be intimidated but wondering if your add will be accepted. Use common sense & and read the Facebook Help pages & the Facebook Ads top 10 Best Practices .  As you may or mat not know the ads are reviewed by Facebook Ads team.  They know facebook needs to profit so they shouldnt reject too many of your ads. Just forget the Acai Berry B$ – you missed the boat here anyway.  I have had many ads created in less than 2 hours of the ad being created! Remember content is ALWAYS king and if your site is well built, you should have no problems getting your ads approved. Forget using those scripts & redirects, those are stupid.

Some tips & advice as I have tested myself.

• Think like the average Facebook user. They are not just high school/college kids using it.
• Be sure to create highly captive titles that will grab attention
• Use images that are simple and create user reactions
• Research your target audience and select niche keywords
• Start off with a higher CPC and see how your add is doing on the FB network.
